Online shopping’s giant leap is PicLens

July 25, 2008

It’s called PicLens, it’s a Photosynth-like way to view the web that works on the plug-in level (meaning, unlike Photosynth, it works on a mac). Since I’ve often wondered about online shopping, I was most interested in how it would work to shop.

Screen shots won’t do it justice. So if you ever wanted to browse for stuff online, then download this little plug-in, and head on over to Amazon and shop.

Wow.

I’ve showed this to a bunch of people at my agency. We want to use this tool to show off our work on our website. I’m also showing it to a retail client late next week. Would you do deals with major brands?
